It seems in a community where everyone expects a freebie that people would go for the contests offered. Yet, they are ignored because people fall for the "Big" prizes. I see almost once a week or more someone offering a Console, Headset, PVR, Ect. Everyone always falls for this ignorant shit, even when the person giving it away is "Astro Headset Giveaway at 25 Followers" and people fall for it.
I honestly work my ass off with my Twitter @YTRetweets, YTR Community Channel and YTR Gaming. I do all this for the promotion of everyone for free. I do offer a few extras which are paid services, but those help with upkeep of the site and such.
Some may think I do this for the profit, but if that were true I would be the biggest moron ever. I made like $20 last month while spending about 4 hours daily working on Twitter, YouTube and YTRGaming.com That's over 120 hours spent promoting everyone. If you were to take the $20 made and divide it by 120 that's roughly $0.16 an hour, so obviously this is not for profit, it is because I truly enjoy promoting everyone.
I can understand the assumptions of doing it for profit though, because there are a lot people out there who truly do think it can be ran that way. I honestly do not think that is a healthy way to run things. My primary goal is to help everyone if possible.
I understand people like being promoted and giveaway's, but I will not be doing the giveaway's anymore. I am thankful for the few have participated in the giveaway's and completely feel they earned it. Who know's maybe one day I will do another giveaway, but as for now I am standing on my decisions.
I would love to see everyone become more active and not just expect freebies and help without being active as well. We will see, it is up the community to help each other out and I have tried focusing on this, I wish you all the best.
